Essie (Clark) Robson (Hartville)'s Obituary
Essie (Clark) Robson, daughter of the late Ransom and Lucinda (Whited) Clark passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, December 11, 2016. Essie was 85 years, 11 months and 11 days of age. Essie grew up and attend school in the Rayborn area. She was the youngest of ten children. On September 30, 1947 Essie, at the age 16, married her childhood friend and soul-mate, Arthur Lee Robson. Essie and Arthur spent fifty years working side by side farming and raising dairy and beef cattle in the Green Mountain and Hartville areas. Since they have no children, their baby goats, calves, horses and donkeys were like their kids. Arthur passed away in 1997. Essie then retired to Mountain Grove where she lived for 18 years.
Essie spent the past two years in the loving care of Willow Family Health Care, Willow Springs, Missouri. She made friends quickly and was finally given the middle name she never had "fire cracker". She truly thrived on all the special attention given to her by the staff. Essie was the last living member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Lee and seven brothers, Burley, Roy, Ray, Elmer, Jake, Doil, and Virgil and two sisters Bessie Long and Jessie Oxley Yeager.
Essie is survived by four special nieces, Dotty Reel, Janet Blythe, Bonnie Williams and Doris Bright and a special nephew Terry Wayne Sanders. We will miss your generous spirit, your winning smile and your spunky personality, but we know you are looking down from heaven.
