Esther Trainor's Obituary
Esther Houston Trainor, 91, resident of Camp Verde, Arizona, passed away at her home, surrounded by family on Monday, May 1, 2006. She was born near Fort Benton, Montana on February 11, 1915. She was the daughter of pioneer parents, Mildred Lebur Barnes and Roland Timothy Hudson. Her young years were filled with adventure and travel, settling in the Ozark Mountains near Lake of the Ozarks in 1949.Esther was a tireless reader, and a life-long learner. She took courses in journalism and architectural design. She learned to make ceramics, and she also learned violin touch up and repair in her husband Wayne's Violin Shop in Kansas City, Missouri. Esther worked for the State of Missouri, retiring with honors and awards of achievement. She was the President of her Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi and she belonged to several social organizations. Esther moved to Camp Verde, Arizona in 1996, where she lived with her son, Grady and his wife, Betty. She remained with them for 9 wonderful years, and when the autumn of her life arrived, they lovingly and willingly nursed her through it. They became her angels here on earth. Esther dearly loved her family, and she loved her Lord. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and lived a courageous life as a Christian. Esther is preceded in death by her first husband, Stanley E. Tate; her second husband, Wayne Phillip Trainor and an infant son, Keith Phillip Trainor. She is also preceded by her parents, Roland and Mildred Hudson; and her three brothers, Hebert Hudson, Lindel James Hudson, and Richard Hudson, along with their wives. Esther was the cherished mother of three beautiful children; Mary Lee Mittenfilner of Kansas City, Missouri; Marshall Wade Tate with his wife, Diane, of Alvin, Texas; and Grady Lowell Tate with his wife, Betty, of Camp Verde, Arizona. She was the adored grandmother of seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, and she was the beloved aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Her family writes, We will meet her across that river and know her living smile will guide us there. And wherever you are and wherever we be, you are beloved forever, our mother you’ll be”. Services will be held at 11:15 a.m. Saturday, May 6, 2006, in the Big Niangua Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 - 11:00 a.m. Saturday, in the funeral home. Memorial donations to Christian Healthcare Hospice may be made through the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
