Born and raised in the Ozark hills, Ethel enjoyed the simple life with her sisters and brothers on their family’s farm. She met and married Jack Taylor and to this union two sons and one daughter was born. They had a dairy farm south of Seymour where the couple settled to raise their family. She enjoyed quilting, and creating things with her hands. Music was a source of joy, even when it was hard to hear the song Ethel rejoiced in the melody.
Ethel was a rare beauty. It did not come from just the outward appearance; it was her inner self, an unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit. She knew her worth was great in the sight of our Lord God. She obeyed her Lord and loved others. Ethel was strong in her faith and was committed to her church family even when she could no longer attend.
