Eugene Richard Boos (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Mr. Eugene “Gene” Richard Boos, age 74 of Bolivar, Missouri passed away on Sunday night at 11:56pm in Citizen’s Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri.
He was born March 25, 1938 in Halfway, Missouri, the son of Hansel T. Boos and Lois (Vest) Boos.
Gene worked as an Assistant Manager at the Pants Maker Garment Factory in Bolivar, Missouri for over 25 years. He then sold Real Estate for many years last working for Hutcheson-Coker Real Estate Company until his health no longer allowed him to work due to a stroke in 2009.
He enjoyed playing the bass guitar with his wife playing her guitar and she singing country music. He attended New Bethel Methodist Church when possible.
He was preceded in death by his wife, LaVeta Eileen (Hill) Boos on May 4, 1998 and his father, Hansel T. Boos.
Gene is survived by his mother, Lois Kellogg of Oxnard, California, two brothers, Louis Boos and his wife Violet of Halfway, Missouri, Marvin Boos and his wife Judy of Oxnard, California, a sister, Shirley Foose and her husband Gene of Pasorobles, California, and several nieces and nephews.
