Eugene Emerick (Seymour)'s Obituary
Eugene Emerick, son of Edward Vernard and Dona Vera Miller Emerick, was born March 4, 1938 in Seymour, Missouri. He departed this life Monday, July 12, 2010 in Glenwood Healthcare, Seymour, Missouri, at the age of seventy-two years, four months, and eight days.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Harold, Wilbur and Vernard Emerick; and one sister, Sharon DeCou.
Eugene is survived by two brothers, Roy Emerick and his wife, Alfreda, and Lawrence Emerick, all of Seymour, Missouri; four sisters, Anna E. Ipock, Eula Faye Owens, Ida Mae Kastning, and Florence Shimel and her husband, Elbert, all of Seymour, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Clara Emerick, of Sacramento, California; a brother-in-law, Allen DeCou, of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He spent his entire life in Seymour.
Eugene enjoyed the farm life and in his younger years raised various livestock. He loved listening to country music and watching television.
Eugene was a loving brother, brother-in-law, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the wonderful memories he has created for his family and many dear friends.
