Eugene F Jared (Hartville)'s Obituary
Eugene Franklin Jared, son of Joseph Franklin and Maurine Louise Dawson Jared, was born September 19, 1938 in Enid, Oklahoma. He departed this life Monday, February 18, 2013 in his home, Hartville, Missouri at the age of seventy-four years, four months, and thirty days.
On May 17, 1958, Eugene was united in marriage to Arleen Grace Priday and to this union six children were born.
His parents and a sister, Elaine Kalinowski, preceded Eugene in death.
Eugene is survived by his wife, Arleen of the home; children, Charles Jared and wife Becky of Hemet, California, Jerry Jared and wife Debbie of Corona, California, David Jared and wife Mary of San Jacinto, California, Daniel Jared and wife Amy of Riverside, California, Robert Jared and wife Shawna of Kyle, Texas, and Larry Jared and wife Julie of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Megan, Ryan, Paige, Nicole, Carol Ann, Kristin, Jade, Jamie, Jacob, Eugene, Grace, Joseph, Michelle, John, Alexis, Abigail, Luke, and Tyler, whom Eugene and Arlene have been raising since an early age; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Kailey, Christian, and Aiden; brothers, Jerry Jared and wife Karen of the State of Oregon and Duane Joslin of Van Nuys, California; a sister, Barbara Ellwood of Burbank, California; a number of nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.
Eugene was born in Oklahoma and moved to California with his family at a very young age. He entered into the United States Navy in 1955, and spent time stationed in Morocco; Guam; Yokohama, Japan; Todendorf, Germany; and Virginia. He had earned many achievements and commendations during his service and retired from the Navy as a Senior Chief Petty Officer after twenty-years of service.
Following his retirement, Eugene worked various jobs before moving to Hartville in 2005 to make his home.
He made his profession of faith in Christ and was baptized on September 10, 2006. He was a member of the Hartville Freewill Baptist Church, Men’s Encounter, and was the owner/president of Recycle for Christ’s Sake.
Eugene was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories he has created for his family and many dear friends.
