She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold, on November 12, 2009; and a sister, Melba Chaffin.
Eula is survived by two sons, Bruce Beal, and his wife, Robin, of Chuluota, Florida, and Bryan Beal, and his spouse, Brian Bruder, of Orlando, Florida; three granddaughters, Ashley Burkart, and her husband, Blake, Chelsey and Brittany Beal; a great-granddaughter, Maeve; a brother, Otto Hopkins, and his wife, Charlene, of Brush Creek, Missouri; four sisters, Doris Michaels, and her husband, Dennis, of Kansas City, Missouri, Dora Weatherly, and Miriam Williams, both of Springfield, Missouri, and Elizabeth Grimes, of Brush Creek, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Nadean Vandaveer, and her husband, Paul of Phillipsburg, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Phillipsburg community, and graduated from Phillipsburg High School. After she and Harold were married, they made their home in various locations while Harold was serving in the United States Navy. Eula was a very supportive Navy wife, and followed Harold whenever it was possible. Eventually, they settled in Orlando, Florida, where they lovingly raised their sons. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her family, Eula had also worked as a waitress and as a sales clerk for Pantry Pride and Tupperware. She had earned several awards for her sales during her years with Pantry Pride.
Eula had made her profession of faith in Christ at an early age and had attended Liberty Freewill Baptist Church.
In her spare time she enjoyed bowling, playing Bunco, and later in her life, quilting. She was an excellent cook and was particularly well known for her superior chicken fried steak. Her family was very dear to her and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Eula was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends.
