Eunice Stout's Obituary
Eunice Elizabeth Stout, daughter of George A. and Eva Brookens Beard, was born January 12, 1909, near Centerburg, Ohio. She departed this life Tuesday, May 30, 2006, in St. John’s Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of ninety-seven years, four months, and eighteen days. On October 23, 1926, she was united in marriage to Charles Lodge Stout, and to this union one daughter and three sons were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles, on February 6, 1980; two sons, Roderick Beard Stout, and Charles Terrence “Terry” Stout; a brother, Fred Beard; and a sister, Helen Owen. Eunice is survived by a son, James K. Stout, and his wife, June, of Conway, Missouri; a daughter, Marilyn Sagar, and her husband, Charles, of Dunnegan, Missouri; a daughter-in-law, Dottie Stout, of Conway, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; thirty great-great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised near Centerburg, Ohio, and graduated from high school. After she and Charles were married, they made their home in Ohio, Montana, Arizona, and then in Missouri. In addition to being a devoted homemaker and a loving mother, Eunice assisted her husband in their dairy farm operations for many years. Eunice followed the Christian Advent faith throughout her life. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, growing beautiful flowers, knitting, crocheting, and also was an avid reader. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed all of her grandchildren. Eunice was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 2, 2006, in the Holman-Howe Chapel. Burial will be in Mount Roe Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home at their convenience. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
