Eva Kay Long (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Eva Kay Long was born February 2, 1943 to Foster Kenfield and Cecile E. Kelsey Kenfield in Lebanon, Missouri. She passed to her eternal home Friday, January 19, 2024 in Phelps County Hospital in Rolla, Missouri. At the time of her passing, she was eighty years, eleven months and sixteen days of age.
Eva was raised in the Lebanon area and was a graduate of Lebanon High School. On June 17, 1962, she was united in marriage to Raymond Long and together they shared over sixty-one years of marriage.
She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and attended as long as her health would allow.
Eva was employed at H.D. Lee Company for two years before joining Rush Jewelry Store on a part-time basis. She enjoyed working with her sisters, Janice and Wilma, at the jewelry store.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Foster Kenfield; and two sisters, Betty Davis and Wilma Kenfield.
Eva is survived by her loving husband, Raymond Long of Lebanon, Missouri; her sister, Janice Long and her husband Freeman of Lebanon, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.
Eva will be remembered for her love of travel and going on vacations. Her favorite places to visit were locations close to the ocean, especially Florida and Hawaii. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her family. She loved her family so very much and spending time with them.
A memorial to the VFW Post #4107 has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
