Eva "Louise" Henson (Lebanon)'s Obituary
. Eva Louise Henson, daughter of Noble and Birdie McGuire, was born January 28, 1939, near Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this world Tuesday, August 4, 2020, in Research Medical Center, in Belton, Missouri, at the age of eighty-one years, six months, and six days.
On April 7, 1956, she was united in marriage to Wilbert W. Henson, and to this union two daughters were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Debbie Henson; four brothers, Gilbert, Delbert, Dean and Dencil McGuire; and a sister, Gracie Tooley.
Louise is survived by her loving husband, Wilbert, of the home, in Peculiar, Missouri; a daughter, Tammy Jenkins, and her husband, Terry, of Grandview, Missouri; a grandson, Travis Jenkins, of Grandview, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in the Brush Creek Community, near Lebanon, Missouri. After she and Wilbert were married, they moved to the Kansas City area and lovingly raised their daughter. Throughout the years, Louise was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family.
Louise had made her profession of belief in Christ and preferred the Baptist faith.
The last of her kind. To say she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother is an understatement. Married for sixty-four years and precious mother to a grateful daughter for sixty-one years. She was a rock to her family… her entire family. She carried on her mother’s gift of INCREDIBLE EDIBLE cooking. The phrase “So clean you can eat off the floor” was a FACT at her house. A true lady in every way, meticulous, prim and proper.
She loved 100% and gave 100%. She could discipline with just a look from those fiery dark eyes, and yet comfort with the light that lived within those same eyes. She was a caretaker extraordinaire, protector and fighter to the very end. The world, OUR world will never be as sweet till we ALL meet again.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Aug. 8 at 2 p.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon, Missouri. Visitation will be held in the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery.
