Eva Marie Powell (Mansfield)'s Obituary
Eva Marie Nettleton Powell, the daughter of Edgar S. Nettleton and Opha Eva Walker Nettleton, was born June 29, 1931, in Mtn. Grove, Missouri, and departed this life on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at Marshfield Care Center in Marshfield, Missouri, at the age of eighty-eight years, seven months, and twelve days.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy A. Powell, sisters, Hellen Nettleton and Shirley Cockrum, brothers, Ralph E. Nettleton and Russell Nettleton, and a granddaughter, Jennifer Powell. She married Troy A. Powell on December 23, 1951 and to this union four children were born. Sons, Larry A. Powell (Betty) of Springfield Missouri, Troy E Powell (Carol) of Bloomington, Indiana, Donald Powell (Amy) of Norwood, Missouri; daughter, Sondra Berry of Rogersville; nine grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren. She was born in Mtn. Grove and graduated from Mtn. Grove High School in the Class of 1951. Eva was a loving wife and mother and she cherished time spent with her family, and time spent worshipping her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She faithfully attended the Church of Christ at Champion, Missouri until her health failed. Eva enjoyed time spent outside, gardening, working with her flowers, and sewing. Many have been blessed by her warm quilts and neck pillows. She will be missed by all who knew her.
