Evalena Irene McDaniel (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Evalena Irene McDaniel was born July 17, 1942 near Lebanon, Missouri, to her parents, Fred Sien and Bonnie Rogers Sien. She departed this life Wednesday morning, October 9, 2024 at Lebanon South Nursing and Rehab. She was eighty-two years, two month and twenty-three days of age.
Evalena lived most of her life in Lebanon. She married her lifelong love, Alfred McDaniel, on her birthday, July 17, 1960. To this union, four children were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Bonnie Sien; her sisters, Opal, Pauline, Mary Ann, Dorothy, and Bonnie Lou; her brothers, Albert, Leonard, Orville and Fred, Jr.; and a great-grandson, Bryson.
Evalena is survived by her loving husband of sixty-four years, Alfred; her daughter, Belinda Farrow and her husband Glen of Phillipsburg, Missouri; three sons, Mike McDaniel and his wife April, Terry McDaniel and his wife Laurie and Dave McDaniel and his friend Linda, all of Lebanon, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Charlie Sien and his wife Beverly, Delbert Sien and his wife Judy, Glen Sien and his wife Linda, all of Lebanon, Missouri, and Virgil Sien and his wife Mary of Sleeper, Missouri; and other relatives and friends.
Evalena was employed for many years as a seamstress at the H.D. Lee Company in Lebanon. She made many wonderful friends at H.D. Lee and enjoyed her time there. Following her retirement from H.D. Lee, she could be found raising beautiful flowers and sewing pillowcases for her children and grandchildren.
Her life rotated around her family and she so loved having them together. She was a great cook and would prepare so much food for all to enjoy. She was known for making the tallest biscuits you ever did see. She had the gift of hospitality and used this gift to everyone who visited.
Evalena was a great follower of Jimmy Swaggert. She loved God with all her heart and was looking forward to spending eternity with her Heavenly Father. She said she was ready to go see her Jesus.
Throughout her life, Evalena was known for her unwavering dedication to her family, embodying the roles of a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Her home was a haven of warmth, love and laughter, where countless memories were created and treasured.
Funeral service for Evalena Irene McDaniel will be Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon. Visitation will be Friday, October 11 from 5 - 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery.
A memorial to Jimmy Swaggart Ministries has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
