Evelyn Elizabeth Hunter (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Evelyn Elizabeth Hunter, daughter of the late Rollo Hadley and Mildred Florence Shipman, was born on June 19, 1938 and departed this life on January 2, 2024. At the time of her passing, Evelyn was eighty-five years, six months and fourteen days of age.
She was preceded in passing by her parents; her husband, James William (J Bill) Hunter, two siblings, Jackson Lee Shipman and Jimmie LaWanna Shipman; and her granddaughter-in-law, Laura Dinwiddie.
She is survived by her two daughters, Cheryl and husband Tim Pratt and Joy and husband Dan Eilenstine; six grandchildren, Heather and husband Craig Turner, Travis Dinwiddie, Trevor and wife Tiffany Dinwiddie, Tyler and wife Heaven Pratt, Jacob and wife Tiffany Eilenstine and Sarah and husband Michael Padilla; and twelve great-grandchildren, Sadie, Shay, Trip, Ashlyn, Audrey, Malkec, Zerrik, Lenox, Alexia, Isaac, Joshua, and Brayden. She also leaves behind many friends and other family members who will truly miss her.
Evelyn was raised in Linn Creek, Missouri. On January 25, 1985, she was united in marriage to James William Hunter in Linn Creek, Missouri. Throughout her working years, Evelyn worked for Blair’s Landing in Osage Beach, Missouri. She loved helping her customers find the right outfits and jewelry to compliment.
Evelyn had many companions (pets) over the years and loved them all. She loved her grand and great-grand fur babies as well and loved when they would come and visit. She also enjoyed going and watching her great granddaughters play volleyball.
Evelyn made a profession of faith and was a member of Aurora Springs Baptist Church in Eldon, Missouri.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.
