Evelyn Patterson (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Evelyn Marie Patterson, age 86, of Buffalo, Missouri entered into rest on August 30, 2023, at Colonial Springs Healthcare Center in Buffalo, Missouri.
Evelyn was born on April 17, 1937, in New Sharon, Iowa, the oldest of four children, to Otis and Erma (Glendening) Parmer.
She was united in marriage to Robert Patterson on June 25, 1955, at Fort Des Moines Methodist Church. To this union, four children were born. Evelyn was a devoted mother, she loved being with and raising her children. Evelyn was a wonderful seamstress, sewing many items for her family and friends. She was a den mother for cub scouts in the 1960s. Outside of the home, Evelyn worked at a dry cleaner in Des Moines. The family made the move to Buffalo in 1972. She worked with her husband and briefly worked as a cashier at Walmart.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband Bob Patterson, infant son Dale, son Daryl Patterson, son Doug Patterson, brother Gerald Parmer, and brother Donald Parmer. She is survived by her daughter Deborah Patterson, daughter-in-law Donna Patterson, daughter-in-law Teresa Patterson; grandchildren Diana Patterson, David Patterson and wife Ronda, Michael Patterson, and Angela Masters and husband Jason; seven great-grandchildren; sister Wanda Voll and husband David and sister-in-law Cindy Parmer; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and beloved friends.
Funeral service is scheduled for 11 am Friday, September 8, 2023, at Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home, Buffalo. Evelyn will be laid to rest at Church Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held the hour prior to the funeral service, beginning at 10 am.
