Evelyn Sue West (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Evelyn Sue West, daughter of Milburn and Blanche Irene Greenstreet Wilson, was born April 16, 1952, in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Wednesday, February 1, 2017, in Mercy Hospital in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-four years, nine months, and fifteen days.
On August 8, 1968, she was united in marriage to Jackie Dean West, Sr. and to this union four daughters and five sons were born.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Evelyn is survived by her husband of forty-eight years, Jack, of the home; four daughters, Wendy West, Tammie Knab, and her husband, Shane, Cindy West, all of Lebanon, Missouri, and Virginia Jones, and her husband, B.J., of Phillipsburg, Missouri; five sons, Jackie West Jr., Joe West, James West, Robert West, and John West, all of Lebanon, Missouri; twenty-one grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert “Bob” Moss, and his wife, Daisy, of Sleeper, Missouri, and Lonnie Wilson, and his wife, Vickie, of Lebanon, Missouri; two sisters, Virginia Massey, and Thelma Williams, both of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Lebanon, Missouri area. After she and Jack were married, they made their home in Lebanon and lovingly raised their family. Through the years, Evelyn was a devoted homemaker to her husband and a sweet and caring mother to her children. Evelyn also worked at the H. D. Lee Company for a time.
She greatly enjoyed watching her soap operas and particularly loved “Days Of Our Lives”. She also liked playing Bingo and doing things for her husband. She centered her life around her family and especially enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Evelyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
