Everett "Bud" Saladin (Hartville)'s Obituary
Everett Jake “Bud” Saladin, son of William and Zella Opal Garner Saladin, was born September 5, 1917 in Wright County, Missouri. He departed this life Wednesday, March 5, 2014 in the Hartville Care Center, at the age of ninety-six years and six months.
On June 19, 1937, Bud was united in marriage to Mary Jane Shimel and to this union one child was born.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jane, on September 26, 2006; his daughter, who passed in infancy; four sisters, Ruby, Hazel, Imogene, and Lena; and one brother, John.
He is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Bud lived most of his life in the Hartville and Mountain Grove areas, and lived in Idaho and Oregon for a period of time.
He worked as a farmer, a carpenter, and owned and operated a mechanic shop for many years. Bud entered in to the United States Army on December 23, 1942, and was honorably discharged on May 17, 1943, after suffering an injury during a training exercise in Kentucky.
In his spare time, Bud loved fishing and visiting with family and friends. He enjoyed his time spent at the Hartville Care Center and made many new friends there.
Bud was a member of the Church of God in Hartville.
Bud was a loving uncle, great-uncle, and friend. We celebrate his long life and many accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories he has created for his family and friends.
