Everett Ellison's Obituary
Everett Holmes Ellison, son of Alvin Ray Ellison and Minnie Mabel (Robbins) Ellison, was born October 19, 1936 in Morganville, New Jersey. He departed this world on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the age of seventy-five years, two months, and twenty-six days in St. John?s Hospital, Springfield, Missouri. Everett was raised in the New Jersey area and traveled the United States as a truck driver. For over forty years he traveled the roads and worked hard to provide for his family. In 1984, Everett moved to the Ozarks where he met and married Virginia E. Lakey. He retired in the early 90?s and settled down in the Seymour-Fordland area. Wood-working was more than a hobby for Everett; he enjoyed making things with his two hands for those he loved. He was a good man with a happy-go-lucky personality and a deep hardy laugh that was often contagious. He was most happy when he spent time with his family, having long talks, or being curled up in his recliner with his faithful friend and pet Chico. He was a member of the Methodist faith and attended church in Springfield when he was able. Everett is survived by his wife Virginia Ellison of the home; his son Everett Ellison, Jr. of Springfield, Missouri; his daughters Elaine Miller and Jonnie Lewis of Bolivar, Missouri, Linda Ellison of Springfield, Missouri, Brenda Ellison of the State of New York, and Patti Grover of the State of Pennsylvania; his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other family and friends. Everett Holmes Ellison was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will always cherish the good memories that he created for those he loved.
