Everett Thompson (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Everett Thompson, son of Everett and Julia Merchant Thompson, was born October 6, 1942, in East St. Louis, Illinois. He departed this life Monday, January 4, 2020, in his home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-eight years, two months, and twenty-eight days.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a number of brothers and sisters.
Everett is survived by three sons, Scott Thompson, of St. Louis, Missouri, Christopher Thompson, of the State of Washington, and Jeffrey Thompson, of the State of Michigan; two grandchildren, Cody and Katelyn Thompson; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was raised in Fairmont City, Illinois, and graduated from Assumption High School in East St. Louis, Illinois. He entered the military as a young man and served his country faithfully in the United States Air Force for several years. After being honorably discharged from the Air Force, he returned to Illinois and owned and operated restaurants and barbeque businesses in various locations through the years. He had made his home in Lebanon, Missouri for that last few years.
In his retirement years, he enjoyed being outdoors where his favorite activities were camping and fishing, using the “tie-fly-tie” method. He had a great appreciation for nature and liked taking walks. He also liked watching sports of all kinds.
We celebrate Everett’s life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
