He is survived by his children, Pat Holloway and husband Leon of Fordland, Missouri, Tom Scott and wife Jerri of Marshfield, Missouri, Freda Scott of Seymour, Missouri, Dottie Cantrell and husband Wayne of Seymour, Missouri, Rhonda McTeer and husband Mike of Springfield, Missouri, and Lisa Brown and husband Rodney of Seymour, Missouri; sixteen grandchildren; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; a special friend and caregiver, Lois Byars; several nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends.
Ezra was born in Taney County and moved to Seymour at an early age. He cut stave bolts and sawed logs in his younger years. He had accepted Christ as his Lord as a young man and had served the community as a Baptist Minister for over sixty-one years, pastoring several churches in the area during his ministry.
Ezra spent time living in Kirbyville while he was working on the Table Rock Dam Project, but had lived most of his life in the Seymour area.
In his spare time, Ezra enjoyed coon hunting, knife trading, riding horses and gardening. Most of all he enjoyed the time spent with his grandchildren, and loved to watch his children and grandchildren’s sporting events.
Ezra was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories he has created for his family and many dear friends.
