Farrell E. Wilson (Lebanon))'s Obituary
Farrell Edward Wilson, son of Jess and Eva Bingham Wilson, was born May 10, 1925, in Falcon, Missouri. He departed this life Wednesday, January 15, 2020, in his home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of ninety-four years, eight months, and five days.
On March 29, 1960, he was united in marriage to Glenna Jean Baltzley, and to this union one daughter, Vicky, was born, Farrell was also blessed with three step-children, Clifford Dale, Carmen Jean, and Rita Faye.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jean, on July 21, 2008;a stepson, Clifford Dale Smith; a great-grandson, Avery Cornett; two brothers, Von and Dale; and six sisters, Nadean, Elvie, Verba, Ruby, Bertha, and Ruth.
Farrell is survived by three daughters, Vicky Lerdahl, of Lebanon, Missouri, Jean Visnich, and her husband, John, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, and Rita Allison, and her husband, John, of Ridgeland, Mississippi; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Luther Wilson, of Lebanon, Missouri; two sisters, Hazel Keen, of Osceola, Missouri, and Margi Pearl Snider, of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in the Falcon, Missouri community. In 1960, he moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where on March 29th he married Glenna Jean. He was employed by Havens Steel Company in Kansas City for many years, retiring in 1988. Farrell worked hard to provide for his family which he loved dearly. After Farrell retired, he and Jean moved to Lebanon, Missouri, and made their retirement home.
He and Jean enjoyed going to auctions, music shows and spending time with their family and friends.
Farrell was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother, uncle and was a caring friend. He lived a full life of family and friends and will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, Feb. 8 from 2 - 4 p.m. at the Hughes Senior Center in Lebanon. Graveside services will be held Sunday, March 29 at 2 p.m. at Crossroads Cemetery.
