Faye L Henson (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Faye Louise Henson, daughter of Claude R. and Bethena E. Grimes McCoy, was born February 17, 1934, near Eldridge, Missouri. She departed this life Sunday, January 4, 2015, in Freeman Medical Center, in Joplin, Missouri, at the age of eighty years, ten months, and thirteen days.
On June 6, 1998, she was united in marriage to Jewell Dean Henson, who passed away on October 13, 1998.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Emmitt and Junior McCoy.
Faye is survived by a sister, Margie Pauline Conness, of Seneca, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Eldridge, Missouri community, received her education there. She worked for the H. D. Lee Company for a time and then was employed by Caldwell’s. For many years and until retiring, she worked in the housekeeping department at Point Breeze near Osage Beach, Missouri. Since 1998, she had made her home in Seneca, Missouri, to be near her sister.
In her spare time she enjoyed working crossword puzzles, playing card games, fishing, and bird watching. She also liked going to bluegrass festivals and to casinos on occasion. Her family was very dear to her and she enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews.
Faye was a loving sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Memorial donations may be made to the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, and left at the funeral home.
