Faye Silvers' Obituary
Faye Evelyn Silvers, daughter of Marion Franklin and Stella Rose Peterson Smith, was born March 13, 1920, in Reeds, Missouri. She departed this life Wednesday, July 19, 2006, in Lake Regional Health Systems, in Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of eighty-six years, four months and six days. On November 11, 1940, in Carthage, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Clarence Silvers. He preceded her in death on October 2, 1989. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Tony, Elzie and Leonard Smith; and two sisters, Fern Cook and Electa Youngblood. Faye is survived by her children, Betty Jo Beauchamp, and her husband, Gene, of Warsaw, Missouri, Fern Ellen Ritchie, and her husband, Cecil, of Camdenton, Missouri, Clarence Silvers, Jr., and his wife, Judy, of Mesa, Arizona, Sandra Jean Cyr, of Carthage, Missouri, Tony Ray Silvers, and his wife, Barbara, of Warsaw, Missouri, and David Lee Silvers, and his wife, Dorothy, of Camdenton, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was raised in the Reeds, Missouri area and after she and Clarence were married, they made their home in Carthage, Missouri. The family moved and lived in many different areas of the country, and Faye always made a loving home for her husband and children. They retired to Camdenton, Missouri in 1975. Faye made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ and was a member of Camdenton Assembly of God Church where she was a former Sunday school teacher. In her spare time, Faye enjoyed making ceramics and doing different crafts. She very much enjoyed reading Western Novels and Louis L’Amour was her favorite author. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Faye was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2006, in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. Burial will be in Allee Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
