Filiberto Sanchez (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Filiberto Sanchez, son of Manuel and Peggy Guthrie Sanchez, was born October 6, 1953, in Kansas City, Missouri. He departed this life Monday, October 6, 2014, in Mercy Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of sixty-one years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Linda Rodgers Sanchez; a brother, Harold McKee; a sister, Virginia Lamanno; a brother-in-law, Wayne Johnson; and a nephew, David Parnell.
Filiberto is survived by a sister, Christinia Johnson, of Phillipsburg, Missouri; two nephews, Donald McKee, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Rick Parnell, and his wife, Robin, of Kansas City, Missouri; a niece, Barbara Jett, of Lebanon, Missouri; four great-nephews, Josh, Jason, Jacob, and Wesley; two great-nieces, Amanda and Marissa; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri and in the Bennett Spring, Missouri area. For the last thirty years, he had made his home in Lebanon, Missouri.
Filiberto professed his faith in Christ and was a member of Flatwoods Baptist Church, near Lebanon.
He enjoyed being outdoors where his favorite activities were fishing and hunting. He also liked playing card games, and watching boxing and wrestling on television with his brother-in-law, Wayne. He was always willing to help others, never met a stranger, and had no enemies. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed having his nieces and nephews around him.
Filiberto was a loving brother, uncle, great-uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A memorial has been established and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
