Florence Graff's Obituary
Florence D. Graff was born February 23, 1924, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and departed this life Tuesday, December 22, 2009, in St. John’s Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-five years, nine months, and twenty-nine days. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leroy M. Graff; and twin daughters, Sharon Corley and Sandra Wilhite. “Grandma”, as she was affectionately called by all of her family and friends, is survived by a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in Oklahoma and then moved to California at the age of sixteen. After she and Leroy were married, they continued to make their home in California and lovingly raised their daughters. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her family, Florence also worked as a telephone operator for A.T.&T. for a number of years. In 2001, Grandma came to live in Lebanon, Missouri. Florence made her profession of faith in Christ early in her life and always tried to follow Christ’s example. She was an avid reader of the Bible and was eager to learn as much as possible about her Savior. Since moving to Lebanon, Grandma was a member of Greenhills Freewill Baptist Church. She loved animals of all kinds, especially Alpacas, pigs, goats, chickens, horses, canaries, and dogs. Grandma was a very loving person who cared deeply for her family and friends. We celebrate her life and know that she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday December 26, 2009 at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date in the Greenwood Memorial Park in San Diego, CA. Visitation will follow the service under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri. A memorial has been established to the Lebanon Humane Society it the Green Hills Freewill Baptist Church. Donations may be made through the funeral home. Return to top
