Florence Ann Ledbetter (Lebanon)'s Obituary
. Florence Ann Ledbetter, daughter of Richard and Ruby Gordon George, was born May 11, 1944, in Auburn, California. She departed this life Wednesday, October 2, 2019, in her home, near Falcon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-five years, four months, and twenty-two days.
On June 5, 1992, she was united in marriage to Robert W. Ledbetter, and they shared the last twenty-seven years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Bill George; and two sisters, Mary Berry and Dot Paulson.
Florence is survived by her husband, Robert, of the home; a daughter, Mary Thomas, of Sacramento, California; a son, Bobby Ledbetter, of Sacramento, California; several grandchildren; a brother, Bob George, of the State of Washington; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in California, and graduated from high school there. She continued to live most of her life in California and worked as a secretary for the Pacific Bell Telephone Company for many years. In 1991, she and Robert retired and moved to their farm in the Falcon, Missouri area. Through the years, Florence was a devoted homemaker to her husband, and family.
Florence was an active member of St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church in Lebanon.
In her spare time she enjoyed shopping and loved caring for her husband and children.
Florence was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
All services will be private and under the care and direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri. Entombment will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Waynesville, Missouri at a later date.
