Florence Ann Wallace (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Florence Ann Wallace was born October 11, 1938 in Bell, California to Patrick McGuire and Dienia Love McGuire. She passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024 in St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City, Missouri at the age of eighty-five years, five months and five days.
Florence was raised in California and attended high school there. On November 2, 1967, she was united in marriage to William J. Wallace. She followed her husband’s career in the military and graduated from nursing school with her RN. She worked as a nurse in many states where they were stationed.
In 1980, William retired and they came to Missouri and enjoyed the country life in Stoutland, Missouri. She loved her Missouri home and her dogs and other animals on the farm. They moved to Lebanon in the early 2000’s and enjoyed their home on Bluebird Lane where she loved to cook in her wonderful kitchen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William on February 26, 2019; one son, Willy Wallace; a daughter, Jackie Crosby; two sisters, Shirley McGuire and Patricia Love.
She is survived by her children, Bill Wood (Martha) of Camdenton, Missouri, Dienia Bennett (Rudy) of Norfolk, Nebraska and Crystal Wallace of Overland Park, Kansas; her son-in-law Mike Crosby of Peculiar, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Melissa, Mike, Jr., Jimmy, David, Christopher, Kristen, Stephen and Jessica; thirteen great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Florence grew up in the Catholic faith and she and William were members of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Lebanon.
Florence will be remembered for her love of family and her dedication to her loved ones. She was a kind and generous person who was always ready to help those in need. Her warm presence and unwavering support will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Funeral service for Florence Ann Wallace will be Saturday, March 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday, March 23 at 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Memorial Park. A memorial to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
