Floyd Grady's Obituary
Floyd Wayne Grady, son of Henry and Gertrud McDaniel Grady, was born February 15, 1931 in Horton, Kansas. He departed this life peacefully Thursday, July 12, 2006, in his live-long home in Montreal, Missouri, at the age of seventy five years, five months and five days. On September 3, 1971 in Camdenton, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Betty Jo Osborn. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Kathy Lou Hollandsworth; four brothers, Charles, James, George and Henry and three sisters, Joyce, Jean, Margaret and Glena. Floyd is survived by his loving wife, Betty of the home; two grandsons, Mike Hollandsworth, and his wife, Jody, of Jefferson City, Missouri, and Josh Hollandsworth, and his wife, Amanda, of Montreal, Missouri; six great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Kristen, Chase, Clark, Adahlia and Clayton; and several nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends. At the early age of six months, Floyd and his family moved from Kansas to their home in Montreal, Missouri. Floyd attended school at Stoutland and Montreal during his young life. He worked for many years at the Richline Boat Factory in Richland, Missouri. Aside from his boat building job, he was also a farmer most of his life. He farmed the home place where he grew up. Floyd made his profession of faith and was a member of Buffalo Prairie Baptist Church in Montreal. It was a great joy for him when his good neighbors would drop by for a visit or have family dinners. He was an admirer of Betty’s wonderful garden and her beautiful handmade quilts. Later in life Floyd and Betty enjoyed making wooden toys and traveling to craft shows around the area. Floyd was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his many accomplishments and will cherish the memories he created for his family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2006, in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. Burial will be in the Montreal Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Services are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
