Floyd Alan Nichols (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Floyd Alan Nichols, son of Arley F. and Hazel Belle Beaty Nichols, was born January 10, 1958, in Phoenix, Arizona. He departed this life Sunday, March 24, 2013, in his home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of fifty-five years, two months, and fourteen days.
On June 8, 1979, he was united in marriage to Kathy Sue Dawson, and to this union three sons were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Lonnie and Gerald; and a sister, Linda.
Alan is survived by his wife, Kathy, of the home; three sons, Chris Nichols, Kevin Nichols, and Danny Nichols, all of Lebanon, Missouri; three brothers, Roger C. Shelby, Keith Nichols, both of Lebanon, Missouri, and Troy Nichols, of Whitman, Arizona; a sister, Connie Nicholas, of Mesa, Arizona; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was raised in Whitman, Arizona, where he attended high school. He entered the United States Army National Guard and served his country for a short time. He continued to make his home in Arizona for several years, and worked in the construction business as a drywall installer. In 2011, the family moved to Lebanon, Missouri, and made their home.
Alan had made his profession of faith in Christ and attended Faith Tabernacle Church in Lebanon.
He loved music and especially enjoyed playing the guitar at church. He also liked working on his truck. He possessed a delightful sense of humor and enjoyed playing tricks on people. His family was very important to him and he liked spending time with his family and friends.
Alan was a loving husband, father, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
