Forrest Wayne Little (Seymour)'s Obituary
Forrest Wayne Little, age 89 of Seymour, Missouri was born Monday, November 19, 1928 in Clever, Missouri one of four children born to Marvin Joseph Little and Dorothy (Thompson) Little. Forrest graduated in 1946 from Clever High School and went on to graduate from what is now known as Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture. On December 27, 1950 he was united in marriage to Margery Frances Farnham and together they enjoyed 67 years of marriage and had three children. Forrest served in the ROTC Marines while in college and then went on and joined the Army. He was a farmer at heart, dairy farming, crop farming and beef cattle.
Surviving Forrest is his wife Margery of the home; 3 children Alan L. Little and wife Glenda of Ava, Missouri and the twins Jill A. Kingsbury and husband Daniel of Ozark, Missouri and Jack W. Little of Seymour, Missouri; a sister Clejo King of Clever, Missouri; 7 grandchildren Lance Little and wife Megan, Nathan Little and wife Allie, Ashley Little, Evan Little, Sara Rhodes and husband Mark, Logan Little and Garrett Little; 7 great grandchildren Aiden Little, Bentley Little, Allie Mae Little and Owen Rhodes , Hailey Rhodes, Isaiah Little and Xavier Little as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Forrest departed this life on Monday, February 5, 2018.
Forrest was preceded in death by his parents Marvin & Dorothy Little, 2 brothers Gerald Little of Marshfield, Missouri and Norwood (Woody) Little of Clever, Missouri.
Forrest worked for Carnation Company for 23 years before his dream of farming came true. He was well known and respected in southwest Missouri. Forrest served on the Seymour School Board, was a member of the Lions Club, American Legion and was an MFA Oil Company delegate. He taught 4-H classes and Veterans classes at Seymour High School. He also taught Sunday School classes and served as a deacon for First Baptist Church of Seymour, Missouri. Forrest was an avid sportsman, fishing and quail hunting were his favorites. Above all things, he put God, family and country first. Pappy (Forrest) was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and caring neighbor and friend. He knew no strangers. We celebrate his life and will always remember the special times we had together.
Burial will be at a later date in the Mo Veterans Cemetery.
