Frances Inman's Obituary
Mrs. Frances Imogene ?Jean? Inman, age 89, of Bolivar, Missouri passed away on Monday morning, April 18, 2011 at her home from a sudden heart attack.
Jean was born August 4, 1921 in Mount Vernon, Missouri to Arlie M. Holmes and Lora M. (Cochran) Holmes.
She married Lowell C. Inman on February 14, 1961.
Jean graduated from the Mount Vernon High School, then entered Burge School of Nursing in 1939, graduating in 1942. After graduating from Burge, she was employed by Cox Medical Hospital for 40 years, retiring as head of the newborn nursery. After retirement she did volunteer service for several years as Cox Medical Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. She was currently doing volunteer work at Citizen?s Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri, and had for many years.
Jean was an active member of the First Christian Church. She loved her home, family and all her friends. She also adored her two pet dachshunds, Pretzel and B.J.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Arlie & Lora Holmes, her husband, Lowell C. Inman on September 21, 2007, her brother; Robert ?Bob? Holmes, her first husband, John W. Davidson, a grandson, Shaun Inman and a nephew, Steve Bullard.
Jean is survived by her two sons; John F. ?Rick? Davidson of Nixa, Missouri, Reginald ?Reggie? Davidson and fianc?e Tammy Ricketts of Springfield, Missouri, one step-daughter, Nancy Timmons and her husband Jack of Holden, Missouri, two stepsons, Frank Inman and his wife Lois of Springfield, Missouri, Fred Inman and his wife Sandy of Springfield, Missouri, ten step-grandchildren and sixteen step-great-grandchildren, one step-great-great grandchild, her sister, Mary Owen of Bolivar, Missouri, a sister-in-law, Peggy Holmes of Greenville, California, three nephews, Scott Bullard of Halltown, Missouri, Gregg Killingsworth of Joplin, Missouri, Kenny Holmes and his wife Judy of Chula Vista, California, three nieces, Barbara Holmes of Georgetown, California, Robin Tamori of Quincy, California, Teresa Zaste and her husband Robert of Concord, California, and many cousins.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 10:30am, Friday, April 22, 2011 at Greenwood Cemetery in Bolivar, Missouri with Reverend Jerry Book officiating under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri. Musical selections will be ?In The Garden?, ?It Is Well With My Soul? and ?Wonder Of It All?.
