Frances J. Summey (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Frances Jean Summey, daughter of Charlie Gaythen and Rosa Florie Bryant, was born in Amherst, Virginia on November 7, 1937. She departed this life, Friday, January 4, 2013, in Lake Regional Hospital at the age of 75, after a long battle with lung disease.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Wanda Martin, her parents, 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
She has survived by her loving husband, Clell Summey of Camdenton, Missouri; one daughter, Debbie Ellis and husband Mike Ellis of Camdenton, Missouri; 7 grandchildren, Summer Berry of West Virginia, Amber Racioppa and husband of Virginia, Adam Martin of Virginia, Joeseph Harbour and wife of Kentucky, Valerie Ellis of Florida, Jason Ellis of Colorado, and Alicia Wahlquist and husband of St. Peters, Missouri; eight great-grandchildren; her four brothers, one sister, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and loving friends.
Frances, known by those who loved her as Jean, was raised in Alexandria, Virginia and lived in northern Virginia until later in life. She moved to Camdenton, Missouri in 2006, to be closer to her daughter. Her most important job in life was being a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, friends and grandchildren.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. She touched many lives and her memory will linger on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
