Frances C. Swigert (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Frances Claudine Swigert, daughter of the late Burt Ray and Mabel Ruth (Betty) Williams was born on September 16, 1945 in Emporia, Kansas and departed this life on May 26, 2021 at her home in Marshall, MO. At the time of her passing she was 75 years, eight months, and nine days of age.
Frances was reared and attended school in Buffalo, MO. She was united in marriage to Charles Swigert on March 23, 1962 and to this union five children were born, three of whom survive her. She worked for ConAgra in Marshall for 34 years before retiring as a Lead. She enjoyed going to garage sales and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Larry; one daughter, Linda; three sisters, Chloree, Cecil, and Mary; and one grandson, Kyle. She is survived by her husband Charles of the home; one son, Richard and wife Debbie Swigert of Sedalia, MO; two daughters, Tammy Leonhardt of Marshall, MO and Debbie and husband Bruce Anderson of Marshall, MO; three brothers, Jackie, Junior, and Herbert; two sisters, Georgia and Thelma; six grandchildren, Holly, Eric, Debbie, Steven, Nathan, and Jeremy; and 15 great-grandchildren. She also leaves other family members and many friends who will all truly miss her.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 in the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home with Pastor David Van Bebber officiating. Interment will be in the Benton Branch Cemetery under the care and direction of the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
