Francis G Moyers (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Francis G. Moyers was born in Beatrice, West Virginia on July 29, 1937 to Donald Moyers and Noma Lewis Moyers. He passed into eternity with Jesus on Monday, October 16, 2023 in Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, Missouri. At the time of his passing, he was eighty-six years, two months and eighteen days of age.
Francis spent his early years in Mt. Eaton, Ohio and following high school, enlisted in the United States Army in 1959. He served as a Combat Engineer and a Sharpshooter. During his service in the Army, he was transferred to Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri where he met Judy Armstrong. He was honorably discharged in 1962 and on October 6, 1962, he married his true love and best friend, Judy. They recently celebrated sixty-one years of love and memories.
Following his marriage to Judy, he was employed by Mac Trucking Company for fifteen years. They then moved to Richland, Missouri where they made their home.
Francis was then employed by Detroit Tool in Lebanon for several years. He then worked for Armstrong Construction until he retired.
He is survived by his wife, Judy, of the home; three sons, Gerald Moyers and his wife, Anna of Lebanon, Missouri, Michael Moyers of Lebanon, Missouri and James Bradley Moyers and his wife, Wannetta of Richland, Missouri; his daughter, Lisa White and her husband, Kenneth White of Aldrich, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren; forty-three great-grandchildren; and eleven great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Kaiser of Mt. Eaton, Ohio and Sheila Rush of Canton, Ohio; and a number of other family and friends.
Francis was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Ray Moyers; and two sisters, Rosemary Freshaur and Barbara Zimmerly.
Francis was baptized at an early age and was an active member in the Church of Christ faith as long as his health would allow. He loved God with all his heart and is no doubt walking the streets of gold.
He loved being on his farm and working with the cows. He was so happy and proud when his grandson, Nathan White, purchased the family farm and started maintaining it again. Francis looked forward to going with Nathan for rides in the Jeep to check cattle and see the new calves on the farm.
Francis was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He loved having his children and grandchildren visit and spending time together making wonderful memories. His loss is deeply felt by his family and he will be so missed. His faith and loyalty will forever be etched on the lives of those he touched.
