Frank Buresh (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Francis George (Frankie) Buresh (84) was born on July 5, 1933 in Bolivar, Missouri to George and Anna (Otradovec) Buresh, and died April 11, 2018. He was raised in the communities of Slagle and Karlin, Missouri. Frank was in the first grade when he contracted rheumatic fever. He left school to recover from the fever and never returned.
He remained on the farm with his parents until his father passed away in 1967. After selling the farm, he and his mother moved to Bolivar. After his mother passed away in 1990, Frank was not totally alone, he always had a dog, mostly of uncertain ancestry, who seemed to always get the name Brownie. He also enjoyed model railroading, of which he had a layout that filled his living room.
Although formally uneducated Frank managed to live in an educated society. You could see him going about town in his old brown Chevy Cavalier, with a push mower and weed trimmer on the back, mowing customers lawns. He also helped his cousins maintain St. Wenceclaus Cemetery, as well as The Sacred Heart Catholic Church campus. He was also an usher and custodian in the church. In about 2009, his health took a turn where he was forced to take up residence at Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility, where he peacefully passed away.
His father and mother precede him in death. He is survived by cousins James (Jane) Otradovec, Bill Otradovec, Mary Frances Ruzicka, Barbara Messerli, and many second cousins and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Wenceslaus Cemetery maintenance fund or The Sacred Heart Church building and maintenance fund. May he rest in peace.
