Frank E Cox, Jr. (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Frank Earl Cox, Jr., son of the late Frank Earl Cox, Sr. and Billie (Powell) Miller was born on September 3, 1948 in Buffalo, MO and departed this life on December 12, 2020 in Springfield, MO. At the time of his passing he was 72 years, three months, and 8 days of age.
Frank was raised by his grandparents, Steve and Willa Cox, in the Buffalo area and graduated from Buffalo High School. He went to work at Harker Paint before opening his own concrete construction business. He was united in marriage to Janice McHenry on December 12, 1969 and to this union one son was born, Stephen Paul Cox. Frank enjoyed hunting and sucker fishing, but his greatest joy was spending time with his two grandchildren.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents; and one sister, Connie Sue Cox. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Janice of the home; his son, Stephen Paul and wife Jennifer Cox of Elkland, MO; two grandchildren, Anna Marie Cox and Stephen Paul Cox, Jr.; and one sister, Cynthia Crews of Fair Grove, MO. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends who will all truly miss him.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 in the Memorial Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Pastor Mark Elliott officiating. Escorts will be Charlie Strickland, Ben Reeves, John Long, Jake Blake, Jeff Stidham, and Darren Stidham. Honorary escorts will be Frankie Strickland and Gary Pierce. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Services are under the care and direction of the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo.
