Frank Samek (Bolivar) 's Obituary
Frank Jerry Samek, 75, of Bolivar, MO went home to be with the Lord on December 16, 2017.
Frank was born at his family home in Bolivar on September 30, 1942 to Frank and Vera Jones Samek. One of twelve children, Frank grew up working on the farm. His passion for dairy cattle was instilled, and he would hold it for the entirety of his life. Frank was known to say, “I have no plans to retire, but I’m sure I’ll quit someday.”

Frank also knew that there was no substitute for a good head on your shoulders, and always displayed a high level of common sense and practicality. He did his best to pass these values on to his children, as well as a diligent work ethic and humility.
Frank’s farm work was not limited to his own land. He used his knowledge to serve others, sitting on the MFA Inc. Board, the Bolivar Farmer’s Exchange Board, and the board for Select Sires.
Frank was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and enjoyed participating in the Knights of Columbus, and more recently in singing in the church choir.
Frank in survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Sandra Slemp Samek, as well as his children; Debbie Nurnberg and husband Cliff, John Samek and wife Sheila, Laura White and husband Kenny, and David Samek and wife Debra.
