Frankie Doublin (Lebanon)'s Obituary
William Franklin “Frankie” Doublin was born July 31, 1956 in Lebanon, Missouri to William “Junior” Doublin, Jr. and Lillian Wilson Doublin. Frankie passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. He was sixty-nine years, five months and twenty-five days of age.
Frankie was raised in Lebanon and when he was a little boy he began playing softball. He then played baseball for Lebanon High School and loved the sport of baseball. He was a graduate in the class of 1974 at Lebanon High School and attended Southwest Baptist University. He participated in the American Legion Baseball League.
Frankie was a car dealer for years and was employed at Lindsay Chevrolet in Lebanon. Following his time there, he was a car dealer with other area dealers. He also owned his own restaurant, “Frankie D’s”, and enjoyed serving the Lebanon community and visiting with friends and customers. He was a people person and he enjoyed interacting with all he came in contact with. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his contagious smile.
He was the proud father of Corey Doublin, who preceded him in death on September 26, 2020. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Junior and Lillian, and his wife, DeEtta Thacker Doublin. They had only been married a little over six months when she passed away on August 19, 2023.
He is survived by his sisters, Marilyn Crain and her husband Jim and Robin Jones and her husband Kevin, all of Lebanon, Missouri; two nieces, Heather and her husband Auryn Riddle and Courtney Lisnock and her husband Nick; his nephew, Logan Crain and his wife Kellie; six great-nieces and nephews; his step-daughter, Melissa and her family; and his aunt and uncle, Linda and Paul Doublin of Lebanon, Missouri.
While Frankie’s family was small, his circle of friends and acquaintances was large. He loved his family very much and treasured his friendships. We celebrate his life and know his family and friends will cherish the memories they made with him.
Funeral services for Frankie Doublin will be Sunday, February 1, 2026 at 2 p.m. at First Freewill Baptist Church in Lebanon. Visitation will be Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 4 - 6 p.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will be in New Home Cemetery near Falcon, Missouri.
A memorial to Claws and Paws or New Home Cemetery has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
