Frankie Deloris George (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Frankie Deloris George was born March 26, 1943, near Stoutland, Missouri, to parents Ernest and Wilma Rogers Looney. She passed away at her home in Lebanon, Missouri on Monday, November 18, 2024 at the age of eighty-one years, eight months and twenty-three days.
Frankie grew up on the family farm near Stoutland and came to love the farm life and was always happiest there.
Frankie was saved and baptized as a young girl at High Point Church and was a longtime member. She was a wonderful Christian lady and loved God with all her heart.
When she married her love, Archie George, on June 29, 1961 they worked on their own farm. Frankie also was employed at the fish hatchery for many years. Although she and Archie never had children they raised cows and a few dogs and cats that came around until Archie’s passing on October 27, 1984.
One of Frankie’s greatest challenges in life was overcoming cancer and praised God for that answered prayer of healing.
In her spare time, Frankie enjoyed quilting, cooking and gardening. She loved her family very much and looked forward to spending time with them.
Frankie was a devoted wife, sister, aunt and friend whose kindness and supportive nature was rooted firmly in her Christian faith. Her trust in Christ and love for Jesus grew throughout her life and was a distinguishing characteristic recognized by all who knew her.
Besides her husband, Frankie was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Dean Looney and Alfred Looney, and four sisters: Iva Connelly, Maxine Berry, Bertie Manthey, and Joyce McGuire.
She is survived by four sisters: Pauline “Polly” Grasher of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Ella Bassone of Kansas City, Missouri, Berlie “Marie” Henson of Dixon, Missouri and Gloria Holloway of Richland, Missouri and one brother, Larry Looney of Lebanon, Missouri as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
Those left behind are saddened by her departure but know that she is walking down streets of gold to the place prepared for her.
A memorial to High Point Cemetery has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
