Franklin (Frank) Liles (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Franklin G. Liles was born May 28, 1955 to Melvin Liles, Jr. and Mary Ann Scoggins Liles in Carrollton, Illinois. He passed away Sunday, January 12, 2025 in Lebanon North Nursing and Rehab, at the age of sixty-nine years, seven months and fifteen days.
Frank grew up in the Alton and Jerseyville, Illinois areas and graduated from Jerseyville High School. He moved to Kansas City following graduation where he made his career as a tow truck driver. It was in Kansas City that he would meet his wife and best friend, Karla Christner. They were married July 29, 2004 and shared over twenty years of joy and wonderful memories.
The couple moved to Lebanon, Missouri in 2007 where Frank was employed at the Durham Corporation. He also worked as a gas pump attendant for five years at the last “full service station” in Lebanon. He enjoyed meeting all the people that used the station and made many friends.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Mary Ann; an infant brother and a brother, William Liles.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karla; two sons, Preston Liles of Lebanon, Missouri and Franklin, Jr. of Liberty, Missouri; two daughters, Megan Liles of Iowa and Tiffany Liles of Raytown, Missouri; nine grandchildren; his sister, Patricia Ann Liles of Alton, Illinois; two brothers, Melvin T. Liles of Savannah, Georgia and Ronnie Liles of Alton, Illinois; and other relatives and many friends.
Frank was saved at Tabernacle Church in Lebanon and loved God with all his heart.
He enjoyed camping and fishing and being outdoors. He also liked to tinker on cars and help others with their vehicle issues when he could.
Most of all, Frank enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, delighting in their daily lives and accomplishments. He lived a good life and will be dearly missed.
