Fred Lawrence Wright's Obituary
redrick Lawrence Wright, son of Roger Arnold and Linda Sharon (Heath) Wright, was born March 31, 1974 in Mansfield, Missouri. He departed this life Wednesday, May 7, 2008 in Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of thirty-four years, one month, and seven days. Fred was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Fred and Bonnie Wright; and his maternal grandfather, Edgar Matheson. He is survived by the love of his life, Leisa Wright and their daughters Summer and Shaylee; his parents, Roger and Linda Wright, of Seymour, Missouri; three brothers, Dean Wright and his wife Sabrina, of Ava, Missouri, Derald Wright and his wife Andrea, of Killeen, Texas, and Patrick Wright, of Bolivar, Missouri; one sister, Wendy Thomas, of Seymour, Missouri; his maternal grandmother, Gola Matheson, of Enumclaw, Washington; two nieces, Jessica and Sara Wright; four nephews, Cody Thomas, Jacob Wright, Tanner Lewis, and Robbie Wright; special friends, Ralph McNair, of Strafford, Missouri, and Katherine and Noah of the State of Oregon; several uncles, aunts, and cousins; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends. Fred was born in Mansfield and grew up in the Hammond area in Ozark County. Shortly after graduating from Gainesville High School, Fred entered into the United States Marine Corps. After being discharged from the Marines, he lived in Oregon and had recently moved to Seymour. Fred had recently accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at the First Baptist Church of Seymour. He loved teaching Martial Arts and women’s self-defense classes. He also had a black belt in Karate. Fred was a loving father, son, brother, grandson, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the wonderful memories he has created for his family and many dear friends. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2008, in the Seymour First Baptist Church. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Seymour, Missouri. Return to top
