Fred Moyer's Obituary
Fred H. Moyer, son of Walter L. and Lucille Knight Moyer, was born, March 12, 1939 in Logansport, Indiana. He departed this life, Thursday, February 1, 2007 in Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of sixty-seven years, ten months and twenty days. He was united in marriage to Barbara J. Gulley and together they were the proud parents of five sons and one daughter. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Frank L. Moyer and Joshua A. Moyer. Survivors include his loving wife, Barbara of the home; three sons, Fred H. Moyer Jr. and his wife, Joanne, of Spokane, Washington, Richard A. Moyer and his wife, Mari, of Sevierville, Tennessee, and Jonathan A. Moyer and his fiancé, Tracy Bure, of Camdenton, Missouri; a daughter, Danita J. Newton and her husband, Brad, of Springfield, Missouri; eighteen grandchildren; three brothers, Walter, Dick, and Don; and four sisters, Frances, Sue, Ann, and Wanda; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Fred was raised in the Lafayette, Indiana. In 1959, at the age of twenty, he joined the United States Air Force and proudly served his country for the next twenty years. While serving this great nation, Fred spent time in Greenland, Spain, Turkey and Germany. Fred was honorably retired from the service at Whiteman AFB, Missouri in 1979. He moved to the lake area seventeen years ago. Fred made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Osage Hills Baptist Church in Osage Beach, Missouri. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Air Force Sergeants Association. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, John Wayne movies and working on motors. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Fred was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the memories he has created for his family and friends. Pastor Nolan Carrier will be conducting graveside services at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at Brighton Cemetery, Brighton, Missouri. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2007, in Brighton Cemetery, Brighton, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 10 - 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
