Fred O. Revis (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Fred O. Revis, 94 of Walnut Grove, MO passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, MO.
Fred was born to Wesley Andrew Revis and Lucy Belle (Hartman) Revis on March
29, 1923, in Springfield, Missouri. At the age of 5, Fred and his family moved to
Schofield, MO, where they lived until he was in the 8th grade, then they moved to
Morrisville, MO., where he graduated high school at Marion C. Early, Morrisville, in
1941. He married Ruby Audene Nance in 1944. To this union two daughters,
Dianna and Susie, were born. Fred and Ruby settled on a farm near Graydon Springs
in 1948 where they lived until his death. Fred was a school bus driver for 17 years
and also a farmer and construction worker. He was a veteran who served in the
Phillipines.
Survivors include wife, Ruby of the home; daughters, Dianna Callahan and husband Dale and Susan Sims; 5 grandchildren, Lane Callahan, Danette Carbonetto, Nikki Hampton,
Andy Sims, Amber Wooliver; 8 great grandchildren; and 5 step great grandchildren,
and six nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two
brothers, and two sisters. He was saved at Eudora Baptist Church and was a long
time member of Oakville Baptist Church.
Services are under the direction of Butler Funeral Home with graveside services be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, April 3, 2017 at the Eudora Cemetery in Eudora, MO. Visitation will be held 10:00 to 11:00 AM Monday at the Eudora Baptist Church in Eudora, MO.
