Freda M. Hipple (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Freda Marie Hipple, daughter of Ora Earl and Rosa Alice Noah Roberts, was born September 12, 1926, in Bertrand, Nebraska. She departed this life Monday, January 23, 2017, in Mercy Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of ninety years, four months, and eleven days.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Washington Hipple; four brothers, Earl, Raymond, Thomas and Melvin; and two sisters, Dorothy Mae and Ida.
Freda is survived by two daughters, Marie Thompson, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Georgia Gould, of Twin Falls, Idaho; a son, Robert Hipple, and his wife, Nancy, of Rifle, Colorado; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born in Nebraska and then moved with her family to Oakland, Missouri, when she was eight years old. She was married at the age of sixteen and soon had her three children. Unfortunately, Freda suffered from mental illnesses throughout her life and spent many years in facilities and hospitals. Later, she came to live in Lebanon. When she was able, Freda was a devoted homemaker to her children.
She liked playing Bingo and worked at the snack bar at the V.F.W. Hall in Lebanon on Bingo nights. She really enjoyed visiting with the customers and fellow Bingo players. She also liked to go fishing. She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Freda was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that she will be fondly remembered by all those who knew and loved her.
