Freda M. Staats (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Freda Mae Staats was born June 8, 1926 near Lebanon, Missouri, to Jessie Starnes and Dorthea Gourley. She passed away in her home in Lebanon, Missouri on Thursday, November 9, 2023. At the time of her passing, Freda was ninety-seven years, five months and one day of age.
Freda was raised in the Lebanon and Competition, Missouri area. In 1942, she married Chester Piercy. They made their home in Indiana and welcomed six sons to their family. Chester passed away in 1995.
She would later marry Robert “Bob” Blankenshp and moved to Arizona. For the past thirty years, she had lived in Missouri. Bob passed away in 2000 and Freda was united in marriage to Robert Staats. He passed away in 2018.
In addition to her three husbands, Freda was preceded in death by her parents, and her sons, Bill, Larry and Richard.
She is survived by three sons, Mike Piercy and Greg Piercy, both of Lebanon, Missouri and Jack Piercy of Phoenix, Arizona; eleven grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
Freda was a great cook and enjoyed spending time with her family. She had an energetic and feisty personality and was a fun person to be around.
In her spare time, she liked to sew, crochet and made dolls. Many of her creations she made for herself and gave as gifts to friends and family.
Freda attended and was active at Community Baptist Church.
Freda was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother. Her life revolved around her family and she loved them so much. She was a part of each one of their lives and her absence leaves a great void.
