Freeda M Daniels (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Freeda May Daniels, daughter of John Thomas and Gladys M. Wolken Vaughn, was born February 21, 1942, in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Sunday, June 16, 2013, in Christian Health and Rehabilitation Center South, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-one years, three months, and twenty-six days.
On June 20, 1993, she was united in marriage to Guy Daniels, and they shared the last twenty years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Ernie Hawkins; five brothers, Johnny Ray, Tommy, Gene, Eddie, and Tony Vaughn; and an infant sister, Maxine Vaughn.
Freeda is survived by her husband, Guy, of the home; a daughter, Betty McDaniel, of Lebanon, Missouri; three sons, Ricky Vaughn, Johnny Hawkins, both of Lebanon, Missouri, and Arthur Vaughn, of Gore, Oklahoma; four grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; four brothers, Don Vaughn, Ronald Vaughn, and Danny Vaughn, and his wife, Debbie, all of Lebanon, Missouri, and Harley Vaughn, and his wife, Diane, of Conway, Missouri; three sisters, Connie Dame, and her husband, Curtis, of Lebanon, Missouri, Judy Hicks, and her husband, Kenny, of Arvada, Colorado, and Kathryn Rittenhouse, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Lebanon area, and lived most of her life in and around Lebanon. Throughout the years, she was a devoted homemaker to her family and worked as a waitress, car detailer, and as a hotel maid. She had also worked for the H.D Lee Company, Copeland Corporation, and Independent Stave Company.
Freeda was a member of the Ozark Mountain Chapter of H.O.G. in Lebanon, and the Freedom of the Road Riders Local # 7. In her spare time she enjoyed going to auctions and yard sales and liked riding on her husband’s Harley Davidson motorcycle. She possessed a good heart, a friendly disposition and was steadfast in her opinions. She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Freeda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
