Fyrn Orlando's Obituary
Fyrn Hazel Orlando, daughter of William and Rose Walters Peterson, was born January 26, 1909, in Crocker, Missouri. She departed this life Sunday, January 11, 2009, in Windsor Estates, Camdenton, Missouri, just fifteen days short of her 100th birthday. She was united in marriage to Anthony Joseph Orlando and to this union three children were born. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Donald Anthony Orlando; a brother, Bud; and four sisters, Eula, Clara, Lorene and Ruby. Survivors include her children, Delores Williams and her husband, Bob, of Fenton, Missouri, and David Orlando and his wife, Freida, of Camdenton, Missouri; a sister, Ruth, of Cape Coral, Florida; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Fyrn was raised in St. Louis and lived there most of her adult life. She worked as a seamstress for a garment manufacturer for many years. She moved to the lake area in the early nineties, after the death of her husband. She made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Tower Grove Baptist Church in St. Louis. While living in the lake area, she attended First Baptist Church of Camdenton. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed sewing in her spare time. She made many beautiful doll dresses and children’s clothes throughout the years. Fyrn was a loving mother, grandmother and sister, and was a caring neighbor and friend. She lived a good, long life and created many wonderful memories for her family and friends. Services will be held at 12:30 pm on Thursday January 15, 2009 at the Vahalla Cemetery Chapel in St. Louis, Missouri. Burial will be in the Vahalla Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday afternoon 1_4:00 pm at the funeral home under the direction of the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri. Return to top
