Gail Carol Newman (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Gail Carol Newman, daughter of Gale and Hazel Ardis Seeley Buff, was born December 16, 1941, in Long Beach, California. She departed this life Monday, June 27, 2022, in Sunshine Terrace Memory Care in Spokane Valley, Washington, at the age of eighty years, six months, and eleven days.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Wayne Castello and David Buff; a sister, Ginger Buff; and Winford and Dorothy Deen, who were like parents to Gail.
Gail is survived by a daughter, Sandra Gardner, of Hayden, Idaho; a son, Keith Newman, of San Diego, California; a daughter-in-law, Cathy Rafferty Newman; two grandchildren, Mark and Sarah; a brother, Richard Buff of Phelan, California; a niece, Lori Vogel, of Olympia, Washington; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in various locations as her father was serving in the military. Gail raised her children while living in San Diego, California, where she worked as a bookkeeper and a bowling league coordinator. She lived in Missouri for several years and later moved to Olympia, Washington, during her retirement.
Gail followed the Baptist faith throughout the years.
She enjoyed studying her family genealogy. She loved traveling, was an avid bowler, and liked fishing and dancing. She also loved her dachshunds. She was loved by many and a friend to all, bringing a smile to the face of all who knew her. She always had a positive outlook on life, had a delightful sense of humor, and enjoyed making people laugh. Her family was very important to her and she loved spending time with her daughter and son.
Gail was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and a caring friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will hold tight to the wonderful memories she made for them during her lifetime.
Burial will be at Lebanon City Cemetery.
