Gail Plain's Obituary
Gail LeAnn Plain, daughter of Walton Grant and Karen Lee (Cook) Hennigh was born February 1, 1965 in Springfield, Missouri. She departed this life Saturday, March 20, 2010 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Missouri at the age of forty-five years, one month, and nineteen days. On January 11, 1985 she was united in marriage to Kevin Donald Plain and to this union two daughters and one son was born. Gail and Kevin had celebrated their Twenty-fifth Wedding Anniversary January 11, 2010.
She was preceded in death by her father, Walton Grant “Dub” Hennigh.
Gail is survived by her loving husband, Kevin, of the home; her three children, Kandice Plain, Karen Plain, and Kevin Blake Plain, all of the home; her mother and step-father, Karen and Carl Grabher; a sister, Tina Terry and her husband, Derek; a brother, Bobby Hennigh; and her paternal grandmother, Helen Hennigh, all of Seymour, Missouri; four step-sisters, Tawnya Davis, of St. Louis, Missouri, Cristy Kabage, of Sparta, Missouri, Missy Grabher, of Seymour, Missouri, and Kesha Walters, of Fair Grove, Missouri; her parents-in-law, Dorothy and Billy King, of Seymour, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews, as well as other relatives and many friends.
She had lived in Seymour, Missouri until becoming a teenager and then moved with her family to Humble, Texas where she graduated from Humble High School in the Class of 1983. After her marriage to Kevin in l985 they moved back to Seymour to make their home. She was employed as a log-auditor for Wil-Trans Trucking Company in Strafford, Missouri until suffering injuries in a vehicle accident three years ago that left her paralyzed.
Gail had accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was a member of the Seymour Freewill Baptist Church. Even though she was paralyzed she still had a will for living life to it fullest. In her spare time she enjoyed reading and Hot Rod Cars. She was very fond of her cats and dogs and loved spending time with her family and friends.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, daughter-in-law, and aunt, and was a caring friend and neighbor. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish all the precious memories she created for all those who knew and loved her.
Memorial services will be Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. in the Seymour Freewill Baptist Church with Revs Derek Terry, Gene Terry, and Danny Cottengim officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, 2:00 p.m. until service time.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to Craig Spinal Cord Injury Hospital, Denver, Colorado in care of Holman-Howe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 366, Seymour, MO 65746.
