Gary B. Anderson (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Gary Bernal Anderson, son of Bernal T. and Edna Mae Long Anderson, was born April 23, 1955, near Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Friday, July 24, 2020, in his home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-five years, three months, and one day.
On April 14, 1984, he was united in marriage to Deborah Lynn Upp, and to this union one daughter and one son were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Fred Anderson; and a sister, Betty Hunt.
Gary is survived by his loving wife of thirty-six years, Debbie, of the home; his daughter, Stephanie Anderson, of Lebanon, Missouri; his son, Bernal “Chuck” Anderson, and his fiancée, Victoria Richardson, of Lebanon, Missouri; a daughter, Letisha Scott, of Bay, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Teagan and Haven Anderson, and Brianna and Hunter Scott; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He lived his entire life in the Lebanon, Missouri area and graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1973. Throughout the years, he worked as a heavy equipment operator and was a crane operator for Vernon and Sons for twenty-seven years. He then founded A Crane & Rigging in 2002 in Lebanon.
His favorite activity was crappie fishing and he went every chance he got and loved teaching his children and grandchildren the joys of fishing. He liked being outdoors and enjoyed collecting various items of interest, including some junk. He was always willing to fix things for anyone in need and was very significant in the lives of his children and their friends. He had a good sense of humor and never met a stranger. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Gary was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will hold tight to the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
