Gary Dean Cook (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Gary Dean Cook was born January 11, 1955 and departed this life Monday, December 19, 2022 at his home in Lebanon, Missouri. Gary was the son of Frank Arthur (Art) Cook, Sr. and Mary Alice (Honey) Cook. His parents preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brothers; Frank Arthur Cook, Jr. and Johnny Cook, his brothers-in-law, Bobby Joe Fletcher, Sr. and Stanley Adams, and a nephew, Anthony Fletcher.
Gary is survived by his sister and caretaker, Mary Fletcher of Lebanon, and sisters Dottie Adams of Phillipsburg, Missouri and Patsy Riedl and her husband, Paul of Lebanon, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Janie Cook of Lebanon, Missouri; nieces and nephews, Tammy Kirkland, Bobby Joe Fletcher, Jr., Karey Lund, Betsy Livingston, Toni Morris, Frank Cook, III, Debra Cloer, John Adams, Julie Mercer, Will Cook and Brian Riedl, several great and great-great nieces and nephews, and a multitude of friends, all of whom he dearly loved with his whole heart.
Gary, like his mom and dad before him, loved a good cup of coffee and a Dr. Pepper. He enjoyed eating at McDonald’s, watching trains, spending time outside and he absolutely loved roosters. He enjoyed music at bedtime and he loved going to LINK, his adult daycare, that we lovingly called “his school”.
Gary lit up a room wherever he went and never met a stranger. He was loved by his family, his LINK family and his many friends. He will be missed beyond measure.
Funeral services for Gary Dean Cook will be Friday, Dec. 23, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Community Baptist Church in Lebanon. Burial will be in Bolles Cemetery near Lebanon, Missouri. In lieu of flowers a memorial to LINK has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
